Her Beauty Will Help You Live :  Created for the Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs, MS.

2025

"Her Beauty Will Help You Live" is a video installation that reflects on the natural environment of Horn Island, Mississippi, and pays homage to Walter Anderson’s relationship with that sacred place. The work combines wildlife and landscape footage I recorded during a three-day camping trip in April with Anderson’s own words, creating a dialogue between his vision and the living ecosystem he spent so much time.

This project deepens my ongoing resonance with Anderson’s work, which began with the design of the Walter Anderson Museum’s immersive audio guide in 2024. That experience sparked my fascination with Anderson’s life and worldview, particularly his profound connection to nature. In producing this video, I sought to echo his sensitivity to solitude, wilderness, and beauty while also allowing my own perspective to emerge through the lens and soundscape. The result is both a tribute to Anderson and an exploration of how encounters with unspoiled nature invigorate the human spirit.

The Resonance of Chaos : Created for The Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans LA

2025

The Resonance of Chaos is an immersive exploration of the sonic landscape of Hurricane Katrina. Through a series of conversations with individuals who experienced the storm before, during, and after its passage, I asked about memories of the sounds that left a lasting impression. These recollections became the foundation for a soundscape that unfolds in sequence, tracing the timeline of the storm.

Sound profoundly shapes how we perceive and navigate the world and impacts our nervous systems in both subtle and powerful ways. Among the most vivid memories shared was the eerie and haunting silence that followed the hurricane — an absence of human activity, electricity, and even birdsong that marked a profound rupture in the life of the city.

Thank you to the following people who generously shared their stories and voices with me for this piece:
